Merry Christmas Everyone!
I hope everyone has a great holiday! I'm going to stay at a farm with another doggie and some horses while Katie is off to places like California and Florida. (Katie assures me that "going to the farm" is not a euphemism for something more permanent.) My grandma gave me a festive holiday collar and leash to get me in the spirit. Doesn't this picture showcase my enthusiasm?
This is the best Katie could do in terms of a Christmas card. She usually writes them and has incomplete addresses so she never actually sends them to anyone. Go figure.
Our updates: I generally lounge which I like to pair with eating and/or the chewing of bones. I like walks in the park, strolling along the downtown mall where everyone gives me lots of attention, snuggling, sleeping, eating treats, meeting new people, playing tug-of-war, and riding in cars. My dislikes include not eating, not having enough treats, not riding in the car, not going downtown, Katie not sharing her food, having to move when I'm asleep, baths, tv sets on the floor, Katie petting me when other people are around, staying in my kennel past 7:30 A.M., and balloons.
Katie is still living in Charlottesville though now she is working for the College of Arts and Sciences at UVA. Not ready to up-and-move to the Big Apple in August, she deferred her acceptance to Columbia for Social Work until next fall because she wants to be a counselor some day. She enjoyed rowing crew for the first time in her life with the Rivanna Rowing Club and running the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in Nashville this year as well. A trip to the Adirondacks was a highlight too - visiting Saranac and kayak-camping in the wilderness with three friends. She can't wait to go to California with her family for Christmas again this year.
Love to everyone.
xoxo, Rory (as dictated to Katie)
